What it does
Strip metadata beforeyou hit publish.
Unmade AI is a free, browser-based image metadata cleaner for PNG, JPEG, and WebP. Everything runs on your device: no upload to our servers, no account, and no tracking.
It removes removable AI metadata from your files—C2PA Content Credentials, EXIF fields, and XMP records—so downstream apps no longer read those signals. Pixel data stays intact in the planned lossless pipeline.
That matters when social apps surface labels such as “Made with AI” from metadata left by tools like Photoshop Generative Fill, Lightroom, or Firefly—not necessarily from the image pixels alone.
C2PA & Content Credentials
Remove embedded manifests so apps no longer read Content Credentials or provenance claims in your PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
EXIF & XMP
Clear camera, software, and sidecar metadata—typical sources of “Made with AI” signals alongside C2PA.
Private by design
Runs in your browser: no upload to Unmade AI, no account, and no tracking.
Trust and limitations
Local only
Your files stay on your device. Processing runs in your browser—nothing is uploaded to Unmade AI.
Metadata scope
We remove removable metadata—C2PA Content Credentials, EXIF, and XMP—when those chunks exist in your PNG, JPEG, or WebP.
Honest limits
We do not strip visible watermarks or guarantee how a platform classifies an image. Use it only on content you may modify and share.
